Helping Hands

a group of young Canby area pre-teen, teens and college students

have gathered to aid in helping improve the livability of Canby through community-service work-related tasks like cleaning the city's walking trails, servicing local charity events as necessary and just getting out to help their community in anyway possible...basically, we've gotten off the couches, away from the computer and games are willing and able to help you make our community a better place.

CURRENT FUNDRAISING PROJECT:

Canby Green Space and Art Park

Our mission: To raise $1,000 to cover the expense of paying a local artist who will work with members and advisors on designing a bench in honor of Helping Hands.

A Steering Committee was formed in Jan. 2007.  With guidance from Cheryl Snow, Exec. Director for Clackamas Arts Alliance and advisors from Canby Livability Coalition they spent 5 months organizing the 'Master Plan'.

To learn more about this, visit the Canby Green Space and Art Park website at www.canbyartpark.org.
